MY LIFE Edith Piaf's autobiography
As I prepare for the role of Edith Piaf in Piaf: Love Conquers All, I always read and re-read Piaf's "My Life" an autobiography dictated to Jean Noli in the last year of her life. The English version is translated by Margaret Crosland who also wrote the Introduction to the book. There is also a French version of this book. A previous autobiography was published with many conflicting versions of the events remembered in this version, and it's great to read both as it demonstrates a person "writing" her own myth. This is an invaluable resource for me as an actor to get under this magnificent artist's skin. CLICKHERE if the video link does not show below.
